大学院教育学研究科では、英語を第二言語あるいは外国語として教える方を対象とした教育学（TESOL）修士課程 (MSEd in TESOL) 及び、応用言語学博士課程 (PhD in Applied Linguistics) を開講しています。 2024年秋学期より従来の対面授業に加え、オンラインでの講義を開講します。 これにより、学生は (i)TUJ（東京都世田谷区）での対面授業、 (ii)日本のみならず世界中どこからでも受講可能なオンライン授業、 (iii)対面授業とオンライン授業のコンビネーション、のいずれかを選択し学位を修得することができるようになります。 ライフスタイルに合わせた学習方法を選択することで学びの機会も増え、今まで以上に学習の幅を広げることが可能となるでしょう。

外国大学日本校として文部科学省から指定を受けた、最も長い歴史と最大の規模を誇る米国ペンシルベニア州立総合大学の日本校。 学部生の約6割が外国籍であり、授業はすべて英語で行われています。 アカデミックイングリッシュプログラムや生涯教育プログラムといった学位取得を目的としないプログラムもあります。

これは、「外国大学の日本校のうち、当該外国の学校教育制度において当該外国大学の一部と位置付けられているものを指定し、当該外国大学に準じて取扱うことを可能とする制度」です。 テンプル大学ジャパンキャンパスは、この新制度のもと、2005年2月に第一号として指定されました。 米国大学では「定員」という考え方がなく、入学試験はありません。 高校在学時の成績や、英語を母国語としていない人であれば英語能力を証明するTOEFLなどの点数、自己紹介文（エッセイ）などを提出し、書類審査で入学が許可されます。 ただし、成績が出願資格に若干届かなくても、エッセイに書かれた志望動機などに特筆すべきものがあれば、その点が考慮され入学が許可される場合もあります。
