In 2007, Peter studied migration and refugee issues at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, and his interest in refugee issues eventually led to his involvement with Myanmar. After law school, Peter moved to the Thai-Myanmar border, where he wrote news articles about Myanmar and taught law at Peace Law Academy.
