William N. Parkinson, MD (1896 - 1971), a graduate of the School of Medicine's Class of 1911, devoted most of his distinguished career to his alma mater. He served as Associate Dean at Temple from 1921 to 1924, left to continue his studies, then returned in 1929 as Medical Director and Dean — a post he held for 30 years.
