A simultaneous sys-tem can account for correlated errors and pro-duce more efficient estimates with higher statistical efficiency. We estimated the system of equations with the three-stage least squares model to account for the assumption that the dependent variables are endogenous in the system.

1. The Socratic Problem Viewed as the first philosopher to have made ethics his central concern and ethics itself the central concern of ancient philosophy, Socrates has long held a special place in the history of Western ethical philosophy.1 But the enormity of Socrates’ in fluence sharply contrasts with the complete lack of direct evidence for his philosophy. The pro-posed NOCD provides a solution to this problem by utilizing AdaBoost to learn normalization of OCD. The key idea is to compare the chamfer matching score of a given template to scores of a set of normalizers. The obtained ratios are interpreted as weak learners, and the strong learner obtained by AdaBoost is interpreted as a normalized OCD.

In online systems, including e-commerce platforms, many users resort to the reviews or comments generated by previous consumers for decision making, while their time is limited to deal with many reviews. Therefore, a review summary, which contains all important features in user-generated reviews, is expected. In this paper, we study “how to generate a comprehensive review summary from a ...

Abstract—In this paper, we investigate the competitive content placement problem in Mobile Edge Caching (MEC) systems, where Edge Data Providers (EDPs) cache appropriate contents and trade them with requesters at a suitable price. Most of the existing works ignore the complicated strategic and economic interplay between content caching, pricing, and content sharing. Therefore, we propose a ...

Abstract: Logic should return its focus to valid reasoning in real-world situations. Since classical logic only covers valid reasoning in a highly idealized situation, there is a demand for a new logic for everyday reasoning that is based on more realistic assumptions, while still keeps the general, formal, and normative nature of logic. NAL (Non-Axiomatic Logic) is built for this purpose ...

Abstract. Outlier detection has recently become an important problem in many industrial and financial applications. This problem is further complicated by the fact that in many cases, outliers have to be detected from data streams that arrive at an enormous pace. In this paper, an incremental LOF (Local Outlier Factor) algorithm, appropriate for detecting outliers in data streams, is proposed ...
